The Red Women

Very much influenced by his experience when travelling in China, Palvinder was urged to portray the juxtaposition of industrialisation and the delicacy of Chinese heritage he encountered.

Using card made from recycled paper as a backdrop for his meticulously hand cut figures from discarded red paper, he presents majesty alongside vulnerability, reminding us that achievement and failure are very intimate bedfellows.

This is one piece of a collection with many more pieces. If you would like to see the whole collection, please get in touch to arrange a private viewing at Palvinder’s Studio in Lewisham, London.
